Teacup Persian Kittens
So you are looking for a smaller version of the Persian cat. While reputable Persian cat breeders will occasionally have smaller than average kittens available for sale, those who endeavor to produce the so-called "Teacup Persian Kittens" are breeders you should avoid.
Smaller Persian kittens are generally not as healthy or robust as their larger littermates, and "Teacup Persian breeders" interbreed these smaller kittens to each other to produce what is known as the Tea Cup Persian. These kittens are not recognized by the CFA, and in general are prone to health problems and do not live as long as kittens of average size. One thing we will never do is lie to our customer's just to make a sale.
Teacup Persian Kittens Can Suffer From Many Health Problems
Teacup Persian kittens have become a fad, just like Teacup puppies. They are the result of breeding the runt of a litter to the runt of a litter, and often of breeding further generations of these runt kittens. In nature, the runt of a litter is one that usually does not thrive, and often does not survive. By selectively breeding to produce a smaller sized kitten, health problems go hand in hand with "tiny-ness".
Health Problems that can occur include, but are not limited to:
*Neurological problems (brain and nervous system disorders) including seizures.
*Metabolic disorders including dangerous hypoglycemia (low blood sugar)
*Delicate (soft) bone and skeletal structure. "Teacups" are often the primordial dwarfs of the cat world with the associated plethora of health issues.
*Failure to thrive.
*Susceptibility to injury.
*Immune system disorders.
We urge you to steer clear of any breeder offering Teacup Persian kittens for sale. At Kismet Kittens, we do occasionally have gorgeous babies that are smaller than average. The difference between our smaller Persian kittens and the Teacup kittens you will find out there is that ours come with a solid health guarantee, have healthy, normal sized parents, and are lovingly raised and socialized. Many "Teacup Persian Kittens" are advertised at outrageous prices. Our smaller babies are priced reasonably, reflecting the amount of time, energy and effort not only in breeding but also financial cost as well. We do not barter on our Persian kittens, nor do we negotiate our prices.
If you are looking for Teacup Persian kittens for sale, ask us about our smaller than average babies. You'll get a petite Persian kitten that is healthier, more beautiful and a true example of the Persian cat breed.
Kismet Persian Kittens Offers Extra Small Persian Kittens
Persian Kitten Colors:
We love that Persian kittens come in such a wide range of colors and wanted to offer our customers the most beautiful and affectionate babies anywhere. We prefer to sell our kittens to people who want a loving addition to the family as opposed to someone that wants to breed or show their Persian kitten. We are very selective about those to whom we offer breeding rights.
We select breed our Persian cats, and what that means to you is that we only mate our Persians once every ten months and do not inbreed in our cattery. This keeps our lines clean and healthy. Our Dams are not constantly producing kittens for profit.
We want all our Persian kittens to have a full, loving, happy home life! If you're not sure what type of Persian kitten is right for you, feel free to contact us with the qualities you want most in your new addition and we will match you with a kitten that fits your needs and lifestyle.
Below is a list of Persian kittens we offer and the personality traits known for that breed and personally observed by us through the years:
Keep in mind that there are always exceptions to the rule, so if you have your heart set on a Golden Persian kitten but want one with the personality of a Silver Persian, we may have the kitten for you, but you may have to wait for the right kitten to come along. One thing we won't do is lie to our customers just to make a sale.
We want you to be happy with the new addition to your family and will advise you accordingly.
Persian Cat & Kitten Personality, Character & Traits
Silver and Chinchilla Shaded Persian Kittens:
Silver Shaded Persian kittens are super affectionate, calm, playful and cuddly and great with other pets and kids. Both the Silver and Chinchilla Shaded Persian kitten have long, lush, soft, thick fur. These Persians make good lap cats, having either blue or green eyes. Copper eyes are rare. Silver Shaded and Chinchilla Shaded Persian kittens are among our most sought after kitties and one of our most stunning Designer Persians.
Gold Shaded Persian Kittens:
Independent yet affectionate, Gold Shaded Persian kittens like to be petted, but not held for long periods. Good with other pets and kids, Golden Persians have a semi-wild exotic look that we love! With medium to long, silky, thick, fur, the Golden Persian kitten will not shed as much as other Persians. Has green to blue gray eyes. Golden Persian kittens are another High-End member of the Persian cat breed.
Solid Color, Bi Color, Calico, and Tabby Persian Kittens:
Very regal and elegant looking, these are attention-loving, affectionate Persian kittens. Whether Solid Persian kittens, Bi-color, Calico or Tabby, these babies have wonderful personalities and are great with other pets and kids. They love to be pampered. One really nifty trait of Calico Persian kittens as well as Bi-colors, Solids and Tabbies possess is that when raised around dogs, they will adopt a dog like personality! There is an array of different eye colors with these kittens, however most tend to be copper. We do offer odd eyed Persian kittens, and do get some Persian babies with green or blue eyes at times. Our extreme face kittens (sometimes known as flat-faced Persian kittens) require daily brushing and will require their eyes to be cleaned regularly. These are the most widely recognized of all Persian cats. They are super adorable, especially when little. We have both doll faced Persian kittens in these colors, as well as extreme faced. A deluxe, High End Persian for the discerning fancier.
White Doll Faced Persian Kittens:
My favorite of all! White Doll Face Persian kittens are so beautiful! They resemble a perfect stuffed animal. Very elegant, regal and loving, the White Doll Face Persian kitten is one of our most sought after Persians. Super affectionate and attention-loving, White Doll Face Persians have snow-white silky, thick fur. Great with other pets and kids, these sought after kittens have either Blue or Green eyes, sometimes copper. Males tend to be dominate with other male cats, unless raised together. White Doll Face Persian kittens have the ultimate Wow Factor!
